Joining us: WVAC is always in search of new, willing, competent volunteers to supplement its membership. If you are EMT certified and interested in being a patient care provider here or if you are MRT certified and interested in driving on calls, and think you can devote at least 36 hours per month to shifts, please considering joining us!
Watching for us: One of the greatest hazards to us and the patient is people who do not pull over and yield us the right of way when we have our lights and sirens on. So please watch and listen carefully for us, signal, and pull off to the right and stop when any emergency vehicle is nearby (it is the law).
Making our lives easier: Make sure that your house is clearly numbered and easily seen from the street. Be prepared for an emergency by maintaining an up to date list of your and your family members' medications and medical history. If you have a medical illness, consider a medical alert bracelet to convey such illness to responders in an emergency situation.
WVAC is a nonprofit 501(c) corporation. Your donations are tax deductible.
