The Wilton Volunteer Ambulance Corps (WVAC) is always in search or new, willing and competent volunteer EMTs to increase its membership.  We are looking for people who are willing to make a commitment to our community. We currently handle a call volume of just over 1,800 emergencies per year.  

Requirements (more info on the application link at the bottom):

  • Volunteer for shift time at minimum of 36 hours per month. Volunteer shifts are:

    • Mon-Fri from 6pm-6am

    • Sat-Sun from 6am-12pm, 12pm-6pm, and 6pm-6am

  • Attend WVAC training and business meetings on the first and third Wednesday of every month​​

  • Volunteer for community events

WVAC prides itself on being a diverse group of men and women.  We are made up of students, medical professionals, lawyers, homemakers, financial professionals, retirees and more. 

 

Our members will tell you how incredibly rewarding it is to volunteer with us here in Wilton.  So much so that besides Wilton, we have members who live in Norwalk, Ridgefield, Stamford, Westport, Fairfield, Brookfield, and NY!

To volunteer with WVAC, you must be a Connecticut-certified EMT or EMR and be Basic Life Support (BLS) certified in CPR and AED usage.
