WVAC Members Train in an Animal Basic Life Support Class

Writer: Brian McDermottBrian McDermott

Recently WVAC volunteers Brian McDermott, John Miscioscia, Adam Schnitzer, Drew Kennedy, and Shelley Keyes participated in an animal “basic life support” class at the regional fire academy. We had a great time and learned how to provide emergency care for our furry friends, including choking, CPR, and stopping bleeding. While our primary focus is always on serving the people of Wilton, we know expanding our skills and knowledge is always valuable! We always recommend knowing your closest veterinary hospital, and contacting them in an emergency.
