  • WVAC Members Train in an Animal Basic Life Support Class

    Recently WVAC volunteers Brian McDermott, John Miscioscia, Adam Schnitzer, Drew Kennedy, and Shelley Keyes participated in an animal “basic life support” class at the regional fire academy. We had a great time and learned how to provide emergency care for our furry friends, including choking, CPR, and stopping bleeding. While our primary focus is always on serving the people of Wilton, we know expanding our skills and knowledge is always valuable! We always recommend knowing your closest veterinary hospital, and contacting them in an emergency.

  • Truck Cleaning Ahead of Memorial Day Parade

    On Saturday WVAC volunteers were hard at work on a truck cleaning day! On the interiors, we emptied out the many different supplies and equipment carried inside and did a deep clean. We also gave the exteriors a good wash to keep our ambulances looking their best.

  • Exhibition Hosted by the Wilton Chapter of Hindu Swayamsevak Sang

    On Saturday, WVAC volunteers Tom Gunther, Shanya Wilson-Spiro, Skyler Reading, and John Miscioscia proudly represented WVAC at an exhibition hosted by the Wilton Chapter Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh - CT  at the Comstock Community Center. WVAC is deeply grateful for the ongoing support from the organization, especially for their generous contributions of PPE to WVAC responders during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic.

  • WVAC at the Wilton Winter Carnival

    On a beautiful Sunday afternoon, WVAC was proud to take part in the Wilton Winter Carnival! Our volunteers Brian Heffernan, Jamie Fortunato, and David Weinstock showed members of the community around our ambulance. Thank you for having us, we can't wait for next year! It was a joy to educate young kids about EMT services, ensuring they had a delightful time exploring the inside of the truck.

  • WVAC Annual Holiday Dinner

    Last week, the dedicated WVAC volunteer team gathered for their annual holiday dinner at Marly's Bistro in Wilton. It was a joyous occasion, celebrating the incredible efforts of our volunteer crew in serving the community. Fortunately, the evening remained quiet and safe for the Town of Wilton as no calls were received.
